Day 1 : Saigon (-,-,-)
Meet on arrival at Saigon , transfer to hotel for check in. Rest of day at leisure.
Overnight in Saigon.
DAY 2 :
Saigon (B,-,-)
After breakfast, visit Cu Chi Tunnels, an important base during the American War. The Vietcong built a 200 km. long network of tunnels connecting command posts, hospitals, shelter and weapon factories. Dug out of hard laterite by hand tools without the use of cement, this amazing network was never discovered.
In the afternoon, sightseeing in Saigon, the largest of Vietnamese cities, with the hustle and bustle of Vietnamese life visible everywhere. There are street markets, sidewalk cafes and sleek new bars. The city churns and bubbles. Yet within this teeming metropolis are 300 years of timeless traditions and the beauty of an ancient culture. To the west of the city is District 5, the huge Chinese neighborhood called Cholon, which means 'Big Market'.
Continue to Military Museum and Reunification Palace, the Independence Palace of the South Vietnamese president, it was stormed by tanks on 30 April 1975, signifying the fall of South Vietnam. It has been preserved in its original state.

DAY 3 : Saigon - Danang (B,-,-)

After breakfast, flight from Saigon to Danang.
Transfer from airport to visit My Lai, the My Lai massacre consisted of a series of war crimes committed by American troops during the American War in Son My subdistrict. The Son My Memorial was erected in Tu Cung Hamlet in this subdistrict. Near the memorial is a museum.
Overnighy in Danang.

DAY 4 : Danang - Hue (B,-,-)
After breakfast, transfer from Danang to Hue. Journey north along Highway 1 over the Hai Van Pass and past Phu Loc and Phu Bai. Visit Imperial City located in the Citadel and modeled after the Forbidden City in Peking. There are numerous palaces and temples within these walls, as well as towers, a library and a museum such as Ngo Mon Gate, Thai Hoa Palace, Halls of the Mandarins, Nine Dynastic Urns, and Forbidden Purple City. Continue to
Dong Ba Market, a local market near the Imperial City.
Overnight in Hue.

DAY 5 : Hue - Dong Ha - Khe Sanh (B,-,-)
After breakfast, transfer from Hue to Dong Ha.
Journey north west along Highway 1 past Huong Dien and Quang Tri. Excursion to Demilitarized Zone, including
Vinh Moc Tunnels, Khe Sanh Combat Base, Doc Mieu Base, Ben Hai River, Cua Tung Beach, Truong Son Cemetery, Con Thien Fire Base, Camp Carrol, The Rockpile, Dakrong Bridge, and Lang Vay Special Forces Camp. Then
transfer from Dong Ha to Khe Sanh. Journey west along Highway 9 towards the Lao border in Quang Tri Province. A lot of fighting during the American War took place here and there are large amounts of bullets and rusting shell casings left.
Overnight in Khe Sanh.

DAY 6 : Khe Sanh - A Luoi (B,-,-)
In the morning,
sightseeing Khe Sanh. Visit Lang Vay base, Khe Sanh base and Ta Con airbase. Then transfer from
Khe Sanh to A Sao and A Luoi
via Ho Chi Minh Trail on Road 14, with a stop visit Ethnic village of Bru Van Kieu monority.
Overnight in A Luoi.
DAY 7 : A Luoi - Hue (B,-,-)
After breakfast, transfer from A Luoi to Hue.
Visit Imperial Tomb of Emperor Khai Dinh
and Thien Mu Pagoda, a hotbed of anti-government protest during the early 1960s. Behind the main sanctuary of the pagoda is the Austin motorcar which transported the monk Thich Quang Duc to the site of his 1963 self-immolation.
Overnight in Hue.

DAY 8 : Hue - Hanoi (B,-,-)
In the morning, flight from Hue to Hanoi.
Visit Old Quarters by cyclo. Old Quarters have well over a thousand years of history and remain one of Vietnam's most lively and unusual places, where one can buy anything from a gravestone to silk pyjamas. Exploring the maze of back streets is fascinating and there are endless things to buy - wool clothes, cosmetics, gold and silver jewellery, silk clothes and herbal medicines.

DAY 9 : Hanoi (B,-,-)
After breakfast, visit One Pillar Pagoda and Temple of Literature. Continue to Hoan Kiem Lake, this lake contains an islet with the tiny Tortoise Pagoda, topped with a red star. Then Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, a glass sarcophagus set deep in the bowels of a monumental edifice that has become a site of pilgrimage. Then, visit Opera House and St Joseph Cathedral. Continue to Bao Tang Lich, once the museum of the Ecole Francaise d'Extreme Orient. Exhibits include artefacts from Vietnam's turbulent history including some from prehistory, proto-Vietnamese civilisations, the Dong Son culture, the Oc-Eo culture and the Khmer Kingdoms.
