General advice :
Participants should be aware that this package is designed or
those with a serious interest in meditation. While prior
knowledge or experience is not necessary, beginners will benefit
from some reading-up in advance. Most important is to remember
that quiet and concentration are essential and to do nothing
that will disturb the other participants or show disrespect to
the teachers and monks leading the meditation classes.
Dress should be respectful as befitting any house of worship (no
shorts, miniskirts, tanktops, sleeveless shirts, etc.) and shoes
removed before entering. Never sit with your feet pointing
towards any Buddha image or other people. Women should remember
that no physical contact whatsoever with a monk is permitted.
Anything to be given to or received from a monk should be placed
on the floor or on a table within reach.
