NAUI DIVEMASTER COURSE
With your exceptional leadership skills and desire to oversee the activities and diving enjoyment of others, you will find volunteer and employment opportunities with diving resorts cruise ships, dive stores, clubs and universities around the world. You'll also be valuable during diver training, fulfilling the role of course assistant. Includes tanks, weights and certification fee to NAUI.
OVERVIEW:
The NAUI Divemaster rating is the highest NAUI leadership-level certification with the exception of Instructor. The program is designed to train experienced and knowledgeable divers to organize and conduct enjoyable open water dives for certified divers.
WHO CAN DO IT?
- You need to be 18 years old for the Divemaster certification.
- You need to be a Rescue Diver or equivalent with a minimum of 20 logged dives.
- You need to be a MFA and CPR within the past 2 years.
- Mentally, you need a mature attitude, good judgment and self-discipline. Your overall health should be good, particularly your circulatory and respiratory systems.
A CERTIFIED DIVEMASTER IS QUALIFIED TO:
- Conduct some training dives for the Discover Scuba, Open Water, Advanced or Specialty Diver courses under the supervision of a certified Instructor.
- Supervise both training and non-training related activities (by planning, organizing and directing dives).
- Supervise activities on shore, day dive trips or on live-aboard dive boats.
THE DIVEMASTER COURSE INCLUDES:
- Certified Instructor speaking English, Spanish or French.
- Small classes for a maximum Instructor-student contact.
- Air-conditioned classroom and video presentations.
- Use of all manuals + 1 Log-Book.
- 8 lectures + 5 confined water training + 10 ocean dives either on West Coast (from the beach) or Racha Yai Island (from a boat).
- Tanks and weight belt.
- Discounts on our daily dive trips and live-aboard cruises on board the MV Andaman Seafarer.
- The certification fee is not included.
DIVEMASTER COURSE SCHEDULE:
- Daily Classroom Academic sessions.
- Confined Water Sessions.
- Openwater sessions.
- Exams.
DAY 8 until the end of the course:
- Short training (7 full days up to 3 weeks): Internship Program with Instructor assistance.
- Long training (2 months): Possibility to the student to plan the course in a period of 2 month with Divemastering either at the Seafarer Divers center, on our daily dive boat or on our liveaboard dive vessel MV Andaman Seafarer. This 2 months training will help the student to get a true experience of what it is about to be a professional dive educator.
