6 days Overland in Malaysia
Itinerary (Singapore - Malacca - Kuala Lumpur - Cameron Highland - Penang)

Joint tour : Departure every Sunday from Singapore with English speaking guide (minimum 2 persons)
Private tour: Daily departure from Singapore with English speaking guide (other major language guides available on request)

Day  1
Meet at your hotel lobby between 06.30-06.45 hours. Transfer to the train station departing 07.50 hours to Tampin (train time subject to change). Enjoy the rural scenery as the train passes through villages and plantations. Arrive Tampin station at 12.50 hours. The driver /guide will meet you here and proceed to Malacca. Tour the historical sites such as Cheng Hoon Teng Temple - the oldest functioning Chinese Temple in Malaysia, Kapitan Kling Mosque, Jonker's Street (Antique Row), Baba and Nyonya Museum, Stathuys Building, Malacca Clock Tower, Christ Church and the famous Porta de Santiago.
Overnight at PLAZA HOTEL MELAKA or similar

Day  2
MALACCA – KUALA LUMPUR (155 km) (Breakfast/-/-)
Depart by 09.00 hours to Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia (with en route stops to visit a typical Malays House) and the countryside. Lunch along the way. On arrival at Kuala Lumpur proceed on to a city tour of Kuala Lumpur. Places to be visited are the King's Palace (photo stop), National Mosque, Independent Square, Sultan Abdul Samad Building, Selangor Club, St. Mary's Church and the world's tallest free standing Flag Pole. Pass by colorful Chinatown.
Overnight at MELIA KUALA LUMPUR or similar.

Day  3
Free at leisure in the morning. Check out Kuala Lumpur, a shopping paradise! Around 15:30 hrs, we proceed to Kuala Selangor, situated about 90 minutes drive away from Kuala Lumpur. Kuala Selangor has much to offer especially to those who wish to take a peek at Malaysian rural life.
Fishing and farming are the main occupations here, although a large part of the area has also been cultivated with oil palm and rubber. Upon arrival, you will be taken to a visit a Chinese fishing village Tour break for dinner. You may want to try a sumptuous Chinese seafood dinner (dinner on own account ). After which we will treat you to the highlight of the evening: fireflies watching.. You will be rowed upstream where you can see thousands of fireflies flickering like Christmas lights in mangrove trees lining the banks of the river. After this tour, you are driven back to the city, reaching KL city around 11pm.

Day  4
After breakfast, we depart to the countryside. We make a short stop at the Selangor Pewter factory, then proceed to visit the Batu Caves, a huge limestone outcrop that houses some very ornate Hindu temples. Batu Cave are popular places of worship for the Hindus and each year during their auspicious celebration of Thaipusam hundreds of thousands of Hindu will throng the temple.
After which we proceed to Cameron Highlands, which is 1542 meters above sea level. We will proceed north to the Hill Resort of Cameron Highlands, making another enroute stop to visit a cottage industry making bamboo baskets and the Lata Iskandar Waterfall.
Upon arrival at the Cameron Highlands, check in at the hotel. Rest of the afternoon/evening is free at your own leisure.

Day  5
CAMERON HIGHLAND – PENANG (310 km) (Breakfast/-/-)
Breakfast at hotel. After which, proceed for a tour of Cameron Highlands visiting a tea plantation, tea factory, a vegetable farm and the market square. Following which, you will continue the journey and drive towards Penang, Enroute visits along the way include the Sam Poh Tong Cave Temple in Ipoh, the Ubudiah Mosque, Iskandariah Palace and Istana Kenangan Museum. Cross over to Penang, using the third longest bridge in the world arriving in the evening.
Overnight at FOUR POINT BY SHERATON or similar.

Day  6
PENANG (Breakfast/-/-)
Breakfast at hotel.
Proceed for a half day "Historical Georgetown Tour". An extensive tour to experience all the sights and sound of exotic Penang Island. Visit the world's 4th longest statue of The Reclining Buddha - Wat Chayamangkalaram. Proceed to Dhammikarama Temple, first Buddhist temple to be built in Penang in 1803, an elaborately decorated Burmese Temple.
Drive past the harmony street of Penang, where Saint Georges Angelican Church (built in 1818), Kuan Yin - Goddess of Mercy Temple (Penang's oldest Taoist temple built in about 1800 when the Chinese settled in Penang), Sri Mariamman Temple (the oldest Hindu temple)andMasjid Kapitan Keling (the oldest Indian Muslim mosque).
Visit Khoo Kongsi - a magnificent hall embellished with intricate carvings and wood work.
Visit local coffee shop. Brief stop at Fort Cornwallis – The points where Francis Light and crew landed in 1786.
Free at leisure till departure. Transfer to Airport.
