DAY 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu. On arrival at
Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu you will be met by
our representative. You will then board a waiting vehicle to
be transferred to your Hotel. Detailed itinerary will be
handed over to you. On the way to your hotel, our representative
will brief you on Nepal, general do's and don'ts and also
explain your program in brief. Upon arrival at the hotel, you
will be offered a welcome drink, and shown to your room.
1900 Hrs :
Vehicle transfer to an excellent Nepalese Restaurant
Bhanchaghar for a Traditional Nepali Welcome reception
and dinner. Here you will have the opportunity to enjoy
a live Nepalese Cultural programme performed by beautiful
young girls dressed in ethnic traditional Nepalese costumes
and jewelry representing various parts of Nepal. Dinner will
follow this programme.
BHANCHHA GHAR -
which means Nepali Kitchen is situated within two minutes walk
of Durbar Marg. It is established in a restored aristocratic
house. The walls are built from mud bricks, and most of the
floors are earthen. The décor, music, and corckery used are all
typical of Nepal. The food is most distinctive with an exotic
selection of spiced meat, robust vegetarian dishes prepared with
local Newari sauces and accompanied by house blends of Rakshi
(Local Nepali Schnapps).

Day 02 :
0600 Hrs : Breakfast in hotel.
0700 Hrs : Drive to Pokhara (200 kms west of Kathmandu
5/6 hours drive). Upon arrival in Pokhara check in at Hotel
Barahi.
Overnight in
Hotel Barahi.
DAY 03 :
Nayapul to Ghandrug (1970 m).
0700 Hrs : After breakfast drive one hour from PKR along
the Kusma/Baglung road to Nayapul. . Commence trek to Ghandrug
via Birethathi.It is a long day trek to Ghandrug.Ghandrug, is
the huge Gurung village at 1970 m .The views of Annapurna South
from here are outstanding .The Traditional Gurung Museum &
Restaurant Offers a variety of dishes and drinks that are unique
to this region. Lunch will be served enroute.
Dinner and
overnight in lodge in Ghandrung.
DAY 04 : Ghandrug To Tadapani (2540 m) From Ghandrug the
trail climbs steadily up through forests , streams and reach
Tadapani which is at an altitude of 2540 m. Lunch will be served
enroute and dinner in the camp in the evening.
Overnight in lodge.
DAY 05 :
Tadapani To Tatopani.
From Tadapani the trail
steeps up gently ,passing Deorali ,the trail makes a muddy
steeps descent through rhododendron and magnolia forests to
Chitre to Tatopani .Tatopani means hot water in Nepali, the
village gains its name from the hot springs near the river below
the village .
Lunch will be served enroute.
Overnight in Lodge.
DAY 06 :
Tatopani To Dhana/Kabre (1400m) The trek now starts up the
Kali Gandaki gorge , said to be the the deepest gorge in the
world .From Tatopani, the route ascends gently , passing through
a small tunnel carved out of a rocky hillside ,then along the
Cliffside trail. Cross the high suspension bridge to reach Dana
at 1400 m. Dhana consists of three separate settlements.

DAY 07 :
Dhana To Lete (2470 m). The next stretch of the trail is through
the steepest and narrowest part of the Kali Gandaki Gorge, the
trail crosses a ridge , descends to a stream then travels
through forests .The trail climbs 100 m on a rough rocky trail
then is level to Lete., a spread out town at 2470 m.
Overnight in Lodge.
DAY 08 :
Lete To Tukuche.(2590 m) A short distance beyond
Kalopani the trail crosses the Kali Gandaki at 2560 m where the
river rushes through a narrow gorge. the trail makes several ups
and downs on a Cliffside trail to Tukuche. At 2590 m Tukuche
was once the most important Thakali village .Tukuche ( tuk ,
‘grain’ and che , ‘flat place’) was the meeting place where the
traders coming with salt and wool from Tibet and the upper
valleys bartered with the traders carrying grain from the
south.

Lodge.
DAY 09 :
Tukuche To Jomsom. (2713 m) A dramatic change in
the vegetation, from pine and conifer forests to dry desert like
country take place during this stretch of trail. The flow of air
between the peaks of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri creates strong
winds that howl up the valley. The trail heads north through
desert like country , passing some large boulders, and the
Marpha valley the trail continues along the side of the valley
,climbing imperceptibly past a few tea shops ,to Shayang, .The
route passes a few houses and trail side before climbing a low
ridge to Jomsom at an altitude of 2713 m .
Overnight in Lodge.
DAY 10 :
Fly Jomsom Pokhara Kathmandu. After breakfast
fly to Pokhara and connect flight to Kathmandu. In Kathmandu
meet and transfer to Hotel Vaishali.
Overnight in
Hotel Vaishali.
DAY 11 :
After breafast free till you are transferred to
the International Airport to fly back home. |
