CAMERON HIGHLANDS - PENANG
(Breakfast/-/-)
08.30 hrs : We will begin the day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel before proceeding to Penang, the Pearl of the Orient. En route visit the Gua Tempurung Cave, a spectacle cave and former hideout of the communist guerillas. Continue to Kellies Castles, an amazing leftover from the colonial times. William Kellie Smith, a wealthy British plantation owner, plan to build this splendid mansion for his yet unborn son. Smith died in 1926 and the mansion was never finished. Next to the mansion is a Hindu Temple, built for the 70 artisans which were brought in from Madras when a mysterious illness decimated the workforce. Drive to Kuala Kangsar the royal town of Perak. Visit the Ubudiah Mosque, the probably finest mosque in Malaysia, Istana Iskandariah and Istana Kenangan which was built in 1926 without the use of nails.
18.00 hrs : Whilst journeying towards Penang, don’t forget to take some snapshots of the Penang Bridge which we will cross – this unique architectural wonder is the third largest bridge in the world. Upon arrival in Penang, you will be transferred to your respective hotel.
