Itinerary (South Bali -Tabanan - Pacung - Bedugul – Banjar - Lovina -Singaraja – Kintamani - Sidemen - South Bali)

Day 1 : South Bali – Tabanan - Pacung (L)
07:30 hrs
Pick-up from the hotel and depart by VW Kuebelwagen on small roads through beautiful little villages to the district of Tabanan. In the capital, Tabanan, we stroll around the colorful market. Driving further, through Bali’s rural areas where spices are grown (Vanilla, Cloves, Pepper, Cacao, and Coffee) and a breathtaking landscapes, -up the slope of Mt. Batukaru. With a special obtained permission, we visit the unknown Tambuwaras temple, which is usually not accessible for foreigners. Continue off the beaten track through spectacular rice terraces to Jatiluwih, where Balinese lunch is served at a local restaurant with a stunning view.
After lunch, enjoy a 1 hour soft jungle trek (April-October) or a 1 hour rice field trek (November-March) . Afterwards free use of a spring-fed swimming pool. Before continuing to the hotel, a stop is made to visit a typical Balinese compound.

Day 2 : Pacung – Bedugul – Banjar - Lovina (B/L)

08:30 hrs After breakfast, depart by VW Kuebelwagen direction North-Bali. Via Baturiti and Bedugul, we reach Danau Bratan, a lake filling the long-extinct crater of Gunung Catur. Mist often veiles this ancient crater. The lake is an essential water source for surrounding farmlands. The people of that area honor Dewi Danau, goddess of all lakes at Pura Ulun Danu Bratan, a temple on a small lake-shore promontory. We will proceed our tour by driving on the main road for a few kilometers passing the highest elevation point, before turning off on back-roads. Driving through the mountain area on these adventure roads, you will enjoy an amazing view at the lakes Buyan and Tamblingan.
Lunch will be served at a mountain restaurant with a view down to the north coast and the Bali Sea. The traditional way of processing coffee beans will be demonstrated to you. We drive further, through clove plantations and lush vegetation, on a special route towards the coast. Upon arrival at Desa Banjar a short is made to visit the famous hot springs. By following the coast road we shall reach the hotel.

Day 3 : Lovina – Singaraja – Kintamani - Sidemen (B/L)
Breakfast at the hotel
08:30 hrs After breakfast at the hotel, we use a mini-bus to drive along the coast to the biggest town in north Bali, Singaraja. This town used to be the capital of this island, during the Dutch occupation and still has many colonial features.
Leaving the coast, we drive up the volcanic mountain range. After crossing the highest point we reach the rim of a huge caldera which surrounds Mount Batur (1.717 m) the most active volcano on Bali. We will have lunch there, with the most stunning view at Bali’s bigges lake : Batur which fills a third of the 14 km across old crater. This lake is the source that is an underground network of springs throughout the southern – central flanks of the mountain. We will continue our trip, heading south-east towards the highest and holiest mountain Mount Agung (3.142 m).The Balinese believe that the Agung is the major locus of divine power in their cosmos. Via the villages of Muncan and Selat driving on a road that gives you a magnificent view down across a valley of rice terraces to the sea and south Bali. We reach in Sidemen, which is well known for its weaving of the famous ikat (endek material).

Day 4 : Sidemen – South Bali (B/L)
Breakfast at the resort
08:30 hrs After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit Telaga Waja by mini-bus and you will enjoy a very exciting experience. We will take you to a river rafting adventure. The two hours gliding down of the river tour is a emotional sensation. The unique landscape you pass through, will give you the feeling that no other people inhabit the island of Bali. No cars or even bicycles can follow you down this route. When you leave the rafts time to relax and review this special adventure then followed by lunch, which will be served at the end of the rafting. Afterwards, drive along the south-coast to South Bali to board your flight back or to extend your holiday in the South of Bali.
