Day 1

Arrival Medan – Bohorok - Bukit Lawang

Upon arrival, welcome service by our guide. Then drive westward downhill to reach Bohorok passing by the vast view of oilpalm and rubber plantation. Arrive in Bukit Lawang, direct check-in to your standard accomodation. Rest of day is free at own leisure.

Day 2
|
Bohorok – Berastagi
(Breakfast/Lunch/-)
Walk along the river side and then hike up the Leuser Park to reach and visit the feeding site of Orang Utan when being fed by ranger. After the visit, walk back to your accomodation and have a short rest before drive further to Berastagi. Enroute stop at local fruit market and check-in to your hotel afterwards.

Day 3

Berastagi – Lake Toba - Samosir Island

Leave Berastagi for Parapat-a famous lake resort lies on the east shore of lake Toba. Enroute stop and visit Dokan - a traditional Batak Karo village with a number of traditional houses still being used where eight families live in together the slender Sipiso-piso waterfall and the ancient king’s palace of Simalungun. Arrive in Parapat, across the lake by public boat on 45-minutes to reach Samosir island.

Day 4

Samosir Excursion

After breakfast, excursion on the island to explore the beauty and cultural aspects of Batak homeland by visiting Ambarita to see old village with its ancient megalithic furniture, Simanindo to see Batak folkdance performance & children learning in school and Tomok to see the historical tombs of king Sidabutar.

Samosir – Sipirok - Padang Sidempuan

Across back the lake by public boat to reach Parapat and then drive to Sipirok or Padang Sidempuan with stop at traditional Batak villages in Jangga Dolok, pineapple farm, Balige local market, Sipoholon hotspring and other interesting views enroute. Overnite stay in Sipirok or Padang Sidempuan

Day 6

Sipirok - Padang Sidempuan – Bukittinggi

The journey today is rather long but worthwhile to exhibits the inner part of Sumatra. The scenery of mountains, rivers, valleys and traditional villages will relieve you from your weariness. Stop at Aek Sijornih waterfall, Sihepeng botanical garden, gold seeker, Moslem school and equator at Bonjol.

Day 7

Minangkabau Excursion

Explore the beauty and cultural aspects of Minangkabau highland by visiting the clock tower “Jam Gadang”, fort de Kock, Sianok valley, Pandai Sikat–a village famous with hand weaving cloth and wood carving home industry. Travel further to Pagaruyung palace, a site of ancient Minangkabau Kingdom where women ruled in matrilineal society. Afternoon back to Bukittinggi with to see traditional coffee milling.

Bukittinggi Departure

Leave Bukittinggi on a two-hour journey for airport. Enroute stopover at Anai Valley to enjoy and witness the beauty and greenery of Anai valley park and waterfall.
