Itinerary (Jakarta – Bogor - Bandung – Garut – Tasikmalaya – Baturaden - Dieng Planteu - Yogyakarta – Malang - Surabaya)

The richest, most lush, and most densely populated of Indonesia‘s Island, Java has an extraordinarily diverse landscape, from towering volcanoes to dense forest, manicured rice paddies and teeming cities.
Measuring 620 miles long and 40 – 125 miles wide, Java is the country‘s educational, manufacturing, and political center. It was the focus of Indonesian wealth and power long before the Dutch concentrated their activities there, thanks largely to the early development of wet-rice cultivation imported from India.
Though 90% of Javanese profess to be Muslims, only 5-10 percent follows a Javanese version that combines Islamic mysticism with Hinduism and local superstition. Most of the rest is only nominal Muslims, whose beliefs owe more to animism and Indo-Javanese tradition. The famous Wayang theater is almost wholly non-Islamic, and leading politicians are often influenced by mystic teachers, black magicians, and healers. Java produces the world‘s best batik (the word is derived from a Javanese meaning fine point but in practice means wax printing). Batik used for every day as well as formal clothing, and for decorative purposes. Other art forms particularly dance; music and painting have a long history.

Day 1

Arrive at Soekarno Hatta Jakarta International Airport, meeting service and direct transfer to hotel.

Day 2

JAKARTA – BOGOR – BANDUNG (Breakfast/Lunch/-)

Start from Hotel Jakarta, depart by air conditioned coach to Bogor, a visit the well known Botanical Garden, it is a huge, world-class botanical garden, covering an area of around 80 hectares. Founded in 1817, the gardens contain streams and lotus ponds and it has a collection of magnificent palm. The garden’s orchid houses with more than 3000 orchid varieties.
Then continue drive to Puncak Pass Mountain Resort (1600 meter above sea level), passing through beautiful scenery of Tea Plantation to Bandung. Lunch provide at local restaurant en route

Day 3

BANDUNG (Breakfast/Lunch/-)
Breakfast at the hotel
Scenic drive through the Lembang hills to the crater of Mount Tangkuban Perahu and to crater hot springs.
After lunch then proceed to your hotel.

Day 4

BANDUNG – GARUT – TASIKMALAYA – BATURADEN (Breakfast/Lunch/-)
Breakfast at the hotel
Depart to Baturaden via Tasikmalaya; visit Naga Village, Sundanese traditional village. Lunch at local restaurant, and then continue drive crossing the border to Central Java passing teakwood and rubber plantations to Baturaden.
Accommodation at the QUEEN GARDEN HOTEL.

Day 5

BATURADEN – DIENG PLATEU - YOGYAKARTA (Breakfast/Lunch/-)

After breakfast we drive to Wonosobo, joining the excursion to Dieng Plateau (about 2200m above sea level) with some of Java’s oldest temples standing on an open field. After lunch drive further to City of Yogyakarta.

Day 6

Visit the Kraton (Sultan’s Palace) and see traditional Javanese crafts silversmiths and batik processing in Kota Gede
Lunch provide at local restaurant in town.
Afternoon visit Borobudur Temple, the massive stone stupa of Borobudur is one the greatest of all ancient architectural monuments. Built with forced labor from the surrounding countryside between about AD 750 and 850, Borobudur predates Angkor Wat in Cambodia by three centuries. Its ensembles of stone relief panels are virtual history of Mahayana Budhist doctrine as well as providing scholars with detailed information about life in 8th and 9th century Java. Buried under volcanic ash and tropical growth, it was only rediscovered in 1815. It has recently been fully restored by an International effort under the aegis of UNESCO.

After breakfast visit the magnificent 9th Century Hindu Temple of Prambanan, then driving via the town of Solo to Malang.
